The potential of Twitter

A couple of months ago I opened a Twitter account. Just to see how it works and not with the idea to actively start Twittering yet.

I put a message on my Twitter page about a book that I had just finished reading and that I liked. I forgot all about my Twitter account and when I returned last week, I was very much surprised to find a reaction from the author of the book. Somebody I never had met or been in contact with. Thanking me for the posive feedback on his book.

I am sure I will never forget this first experience with Twitter and there is a big change I will not forget this author and buy his next book too.

This single experience also showed me Twitter has an enormous potential for future marketing applications. Not only B2C, but also B2B. I cannot wait trying to find out how we can make use of Twitter to get the maximum out of our marketing activities.
