Stop selling

A great post today on RainToday.com by Steven van Yoder. Or better, a great headline:  Stop Selling And Help Your Customer Buy.

Selling is one way traffic. Selling is telling a customer what to do and what not to do. Selling is giving the customer the idea he should be happy to buy from you. Selling is a little bit more discount to secure an order. Selling is hoping the customer will not come back to you with questions. Selling is 9 to 5. Selling is trying to get out as soon as there are problems.

Helping your customer buy is everything selling is not. Helping your customer buy is the future.
