One More Reason Why B2B Has To Go Social Too

Fipboard iPad Social Media B2B Marketing CeekueFlipboard is a new social magazine application for the Apple iPad. Inspired by the beauty of print and designed for iPad, Flipboard transforms the social media experience. Says Mike McCue, the founder of Flipboard.

One of the things Flipboard is able to do is convert a user’s social content into a magazine like presentation. The Facebook and Twitter sections in Flipboard allow you to flip through the latest stories, photos and updates from your friends and trusted sources.

Because Flipboard renders links and images right in the magazine, you no longer have to scan long lists of posts and links. Instead you instantly see all stories, comments and images.

Flipboard – and similar apps that will inevitably be developed in future - may not be a revolution as far as social media, communication with friends and peers is concerned. But it is an enormous improvement in the way people will be able to use these channels and  - moreover – make it a lot easier to consume the information that is reaching them through these channels.

What social magazines like Flipboard are doing is giving a boost to the use of social platforms like Facebook, Twitter and others. Not only for personal use, but also for professional use. Making it really necessary for B2B marketers to shift up their efforts to build a strong and comprehensive social media presence.
