Sharing is caring and therefore many people use their Twitter account to share information they find while surfing the Internet.
Although there are already a number of Tweet buttons available, Twitter has now introduced an official Tweet button that website owners and bloggers can put on their pages.
The new Tweet button offers a few nice options that enable you to more or less configure what the Tweet is going to look like . You are for instance able to include up to two Twitter accounts for users to follow after they share content from your website. These accounts could include your own, or that of a contributor or a partner.
You are also able to change the text of the Tweet (other than the title of the page the button is on) or change the URL the Tweet will link to (other than the URL of the page the button is on).
Unfortunately the official Twitter Tweet button does not offer statistics yet. But Twitter’s developers are working on that too.
You are also able to add the new Twitter Tweet button as an extension to your Chrome web browser. This enables you to Tweet every site or page that you visit on the Internet, also when there is no local Tweet button available. The new Tweet button also shows you the tweet count for each page as you navigate around the Internet.
