There is still a lot of discussion going on about B2B marketing and the social media. Should we join or is social media a waste of energy and money.
Can you imagine a discussion about the telephone system or an e-mailserver having any use to B2B marketing? Of course not. We are used to them and we know by experience that they help us doing a better job. You would not know what to do without them. That is why the discussion about social media is senseless.
Whether you like it or not, social media is here to stay too. Weblogs, Twitter, Facebook or in any other format. The fact is a new way of communication has developed. A way of communication your customers are starting to use, if they are not using it already. And a way of communication that offers you a lot more opportunities than you have ever had before.
My advise is to stop the discussion, get back to work and start to really communicate with your customers. Make it happen in 2010.
