How often do you hear your colleagues complain about the large number of emails they receive every day. You may be complaining yourself too sometimes when looking at your mailbox. And all these emails probably have to be answered too.
Great opportunity
The more emails you have to answer every day, the better it is. Because sending out all these messages gives you the opportunity to do a lot of promotion. Not only by writing to people, sending them the quotation or the information they have asked for, but also to do some extra promotional activities. By putting promotional information and links in your standard email signature.
- There should at least be a link to your website
- This link to your website could be a link to a special landing page, dedicated to traffic via your email signature.
- The special landing page gives you the possibility to monitor how many people use your email link to visit your website.
- You can also add links to your social channels like Twitter, Facebook or whatever activities your company is involved in.
- You can even add a banner (static or animated-gif) to your signature to get extra attention for new products or for seminars you organize or fairs you participate in.
It’s easy
Once the information is in your standard email signature the work is done. The only thing you need to make sure is that your signature is included in your email message.
Changing your email signature in Outlook is easy. Open Tools/Options/MailFormat/Signatures and click on Edit if you want to change an existing signature or on New when you want to enter a new signature. Other email software will probably provide a similar easy way to compose your standard signature.
It’s free
You don’t need no special software or fancy tools. It’s all there and easy to use. So there are no extra costs involved in making each and every email you send out a promotional activity.
